"Bog Vines"
Bog Vines was a photograph that was then made into a polymer photogravure plate and printed. It was taken in a local bog in the fall when the woods reveal their foundations. This twisted vine caught my eye as I was walking a trail in a forest. This vine showed a resilience and hope to grow and reach the light. It circled around and found a way, always hopeful, reaching up. A forest is hopeful, growing, evolving, bending around when it has to, roots bound in the soil, but reaching up to the light. A walk in the woods, for me, is refreshing, no matter what time of year.
